Meet Tracy Nolan

Fortune 100 Executive and Corporate Director turning moments of change into catalysts for growth.

Growing up in a family of athletic over-achievers in Upstate New York, I quickly realized my passions were different from our family norms.

At a very early age, I wanted to lead and help others. My grandfather, a minister who masterfully balanced high expectations with deep compassion, first recognized these traits in me. This duality shaped my entire approach to leadership: pushing people to achieve more while leading with authenticity and care.

I began my professional journey at an engineering university with a 6:1 male-to-female ratio, choosing the challenging path that would later define my career. After graduating, I turned a retail position into a leadership laboratory, rapidly rising to become the youngest executive and only woman on the board of a major retail organization. This experience taught me that transformation begins with seeing beyond limitations—both our own and others'.

Today at Humana, I'm privileged to lead transformative initiatives in healthcare, drawing on my experience from previous executive roles at T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, and Cox Communications. Throughout my career, I've navigated high-stakes moments across Fortune 100 companies, from becoming Verizon's first female Regional President in Upstate New York to leading a team of 14,000 through the historic Sprint/T-Mobile merger during COVID-19, reimagining operations while keeping our teams and customers safe.

This spirit of continuous evolution through transformation defined my career and extended to my board service. I am currently serving as Board Secretary and Audit Committee Member for Dress for Success Worldwide, while my past governance roles include Chairman of the Board and President at ERV, Inc., Chairman of Clarkson University's Leadership Business Council, USO Board Member for Metro Washington, and various positions as Corporate Officer and CEO advisor. Across these leadership experiences, I've learned that taking risks and leaning into change is the key to exponential personal and professional growth.
